Galápagos tortoise (Chelonoidis nigra)
Description:
Attaching biologging devices (Daily Diaries) to captive Galápagos tortoises for the purpose of studying their movement ecology, energetics and biomechanics. Tags were fixed to the dorsal carapace directly using blue tac as a temporary attachment method. The behaviour and movements of tortoises were recorded continuously by way of an ethogram, and filmed using static Go Pro video cameras.
