Teaching
“His delivery of lectures was the best part of the module. I understood a lot more when he was providing the information”, “Will was brilliant – very good at engaging with us”, “By far the best lecturer in the module, clearly explaining everything”

Teaching is my greatest passion - I find it to be most rewarding thing I do. I am a Lecturer in Statistics at Cardiff University's School of Biosciences and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
I teach on numerous undergraduate, masters, and PhD level courses, focusing mainly on quantitative skills for biology and ecology students (statistics, data analysis, and R programming). I also contribute to the supervision of undergraduate, master's, and PhD research projects. I teach students in the field (particularly marine and intertidal sampling techniques) and in the lab (e.g. building telemetry tags), as well as in traditional classroom settings. Beyond academic teaching, I am also a qualified SCUBA diving and powerboating instructor and relish opportunities to teach these practical skills.
