Teaching is my greatest passion - I find it to be most rewarding thing I do. I have recently been employed as a Tutor in Data Analysis and Statistics at Cardiff University's School of Biosciences. I am an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA).
I teach on numerous undergraduate, masters, and PhD level courses, focusing mainly on quantitative skills for biology and ecology students (statistics, data analysis, and R programming). I also contribute to the supervision of undergraduate, master's, and PhD research projects. I teach students in the field (particularly marine and intertidal sampling techniques) and in the lab (e.g. building telemetry tags), as well as in traditional classroom settings. Beyond academic teaching, I am also a qualified SCUBA diving and powerboating instructor and relish opportunities to teach these practical skills.
