Field Work

I have fieldwork experience in a variety of settings including in remote environments. I have worked on a range of research projects across the United Kingdom, especially Scotland and Wales, and abroad including Argentina, Portugal and Germany.

I hold an approved Home Office Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986 Personal License (PIL) meaning that I am permitted to carry out regulated procedures on living animals including Tamarin, Bat, Badger, Grey Squirrel, Birds, Deer and Seals under an appropriate Home Office Project License.

I am also a trained British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) Marine Mammal Medic. I have gained extensive fieldwork experience working with wild animals including seals and seabirds in recent years, including the deployment of telemetry devices.

I am a physically fit individual able to work for long hours in challenging situations. I am very responsible working in the field, having gained experience in remote environments where safety was paramount. I am also very sensible working with wild animals.  I am very capable at sea and hold commercially endorsed seafaring and diving medicals.
